What happens to the child of God in this life, happens in the shadow of the cross. (Update of a 2002 Devotional.)
Having joy during the bad times is a choice. We choose to have joy. We choose to be thankful during the worst of times.
What is it that happens after death? For the believer, after death, we will be with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Instead of having an empty, meaningless, and unfulfilled life; you can be "complete" by living your life for the Lord Jesus.
If you do not have a fear of God, I pray that your eyes, and heart may be opened as were those of the servant of the Prophet Elisha. Because as Solomon says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge...."
God is still alive, and well. God is still on His throne. God is still all powerful, all knowing, and omnipresent. Fear God by giving Him the reverence, the respect that He should be given.
You can do what you can do this year by exercising the "fruit of the Spirit."
Everyone of us can be a witness for the Lord if we will just do it.
Pray more than you ever have before, because this is something that you can do, and it will make an eternal difference!
This year, let us make the commitment to go beyond just thinking about doing great things for God, to actually attempting great things for God.
